Elevator Pitch #1

Debbi here: I’ve been immersing myself in all the fun and games you can have with ChatGPT, some of what you can see on ChatDBZ (maybe I’ll post the synopsis of a new, original Friends episode someday as well as my cheesy song about friends – not the TV show – in the style of Phish), but I’ve also been taking an interest in all the ways it can help with creation and productivity blocks. I wrote a work email yesterday using it simply because I found myself in a temporary, completely un-creative space and couldn’t get the right tone or efficient summation I needed. And today, I found another interesting use. I have never been good at the “Elevator Pitch” and now, I don’t have to be. The pitch below isn’t exactly the story, and it’s a smidge longer than 30 seconds, but it’s close enough to throw in a few cuts and edits and then take it on the road.

In “Campground at the End of the World,” follow Alison and her cat Harry as they navigate a world decimated by a deadly pandemic that has wiped out 85% of the population. After losing her husband, Alison embarks on a perilous road trip from Illinois to a remote campground in Kelly on the Gros Vent in Wyoming, where her friend’s family has set up a refuge called the Campground at the End of the World. Along the way, Alison encounters countless dangers, including treacherous roadblocks, ruthless survivors, and the harsh realities of life as a woman in a post-apocalyptic world. As she fights to survive, Alison realizes that she must become cunning and fierce in order to make it to her destination alive. “Campground at the End of the World” is a gripping tale of survival, hope, and the lengths we will go to protect the ones we love in a world turned upside down.
